A slower way through Tuscany.
Farmhouses, cypress roads and lunches that become the whole afternoon.
03 October 2026 — Le Monocle Voyageur

Three nights is the minimum. Four is better. Our guide to a Tuscany that still moves at the pace of the light.
There is a particular hour in Tuscany, somewhere between the end of lunch and the first glass of the evening, when nothing at all needs to happen.
Where to stay
Choose a farmhouse over a town. The point is the view from the breakfast table and the silence at night.
“The Tuscany we hoped existed still does — you simply have to slow down to find it.”

Where to eat
Book Osteria di Passignano for a long lunch beneath the abbey, then do very little for the rest of the day.
